Modern Law Awards 2026 Nomination for Northwood Banks Director

Helen Claydon, our Chief Legal Officer and director, has been nominated in the Lawyer of the Year category at this year's Modern Law Awards. This is a prestigious and highly sought after award and we are delighted Helen has been recognised in this way.

Adding to this excitement is the news that our colleagues at our sister company Simpler Law have also been nominated for the Modern Law Awards 2026. They have been shortlisted in two categories; Wills & Probate Team of the Year and Legal Firm of the Year: Medium. This is a worthy reward for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to them all.

Helen, and the team at Simpler Law, will find out if they go on to win their awards at a sparkling night at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield at the end of April. This is a key date in the legal services calendar and the event will be hosted by Rob Rinder MBE.

The awards have been presented for the past 13 years, ever since they were launched by Modern Law Magazine in 2013. Designed to reflect and celebrate the best in innovation, professionalism, and excellence across the sector they attract the brightest and the best, from industry leaders to up-and-coming stars.
